Greetings, the prompts for the month of August has arrived! Sincere apologies for the late post, but I had a lot of things on my plate. Now let us begin, shall we?

A remote island so serene but somewhat peculiar at day, becomes quite ominous at night. Now arriving here at day, you go rest, and bask in the abundant relaxation that the island offers. Your ride home leaves unexpectedly early, and night is approaching, you are left in the island with a few people with you. What do you do now, dear reader? Beware, for there are things that lurk in the shadows...

Week 1: Paintings
Paintings over there, paintings over here. They seem pretty normal, but look at them in the eye and they would look back. They will tell you their story, and there's no coming back. The lights are starting to dim, a trip filled with traumatic experiences is ahead.

Week 2: Paper
Paper is used to write, used for books, drawing, painting, paper mache, paper airplanes,. It can also cut you if you accidentally slide your finger across it.

Week 3: Books
A book holds more meaning than just the words written across its flesh of pages. And sometimes, a book well-written also holds bits of it's author's soul...

Week 4: Canvas
Your eyes skim the vast emptiness in front of you. Blank, nothing is written nor drawn on it. At least, not yet; you notice slight movement on the edges, the colors seem to seep in from nowhere. Lines start to appear. Straight and curved lines make a vague outline of something you can't comprehend. Shapes introduce themselves after a few seconds; seconds that felt like days. After a while, you see something; something of unspeakable horror.

Week 5: Music
Some live for it, some can't live without, some use it to pay their bills. Music can be relaxing, can be used to set the mood, can be used to sway emotions, can be hypnotizing.
